(Sorry, it's a little blurry.) What, an E-Collar, you say? No...as I said, this is Wanda's Halloween costume, or as we like to say in our house, Wanda's Birthday Suit. She's going as a blue and white flower. The fact that she had a tiny little mast cell tumor removed from her tiny little head has nothing to do with her costume. Really.
But truly, Wanda has been doing really well, in spite of the fact that she removed her costume twice within the first few hours we put it on her. She took it off once, so we put it on tighter. Then, she took it off in the middle of the night, while Sean was sleeping with her. (Sean slept with her, and I slept with the rest of the boys in the guest room, so they wouldn't flip out.) Sean said she kept pacing around the bed with her E-Collar on. She'd pace and plop, pace and plop. Clearly, she couldn't get comfortable. Around 3am, Sean finally was finally able to get to sleep. And around 3:15am, he woke back up to find Wanda sleeping soundly beside him, her Halloween costume deposited unceremoniously a few feet away.
Maybe Wanda just thought it was bad luck to wear her costume prior to Halloween? I'm sure that's all it was...
